An IMF mission commenced work in Lithuania. Representatives from the International Monetary Fund met with Minister of Finance Rasa Budbergytė and discussed the economic situation of Lithuania, state fiscal policy, next year’s budget and measures for combating tax evasion.
The International Monetary Fund’s representatives will also be meeting representatives from other state institutions, the Bank of Lithuania and the private sector.
The mission will be working in Lithuania until Monday and is expected to provide public finance management and other recommendations for Lithuania.
