The three warships are coming in celebration of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Japan, Lithuania’s Ministry of National Defence said.
According to the press release, Japanese representatives are to visit Klaipėda, Kaunas, Vilnius and Medininkai. The ships will be open for public visits on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Lithuania is one of the 13 countries visited by the Japanese Training Squadron in its around-the-globe training deployment.
