Lada sales collapse in Lithuania in 2015

“Their reliability is poor and there is no prestige to drive a Lada. Poor relations with neighbours also do not help,” said Gražvyda Davidavičius, the head of Data Center that records data on new car registrations.

This in contrast to some other Baltic States. Lada’s popularity grew hugely in Latvia last year with Latvians registering hundreds of new Lada vehicles every month in 2015. However, in Estonia, there were no Lada vehicles sold.

In 2014 there were only 13 of Lada vehicles sold in Lithuania, while in 2013 sales totalled 69. In 2015, the two vehicles sold were both Lada SUVs, the Niva.
