Liberals propose selling part of energy companies’ shares

Lesto
DELFI / Kiril Čachovskij

The party has estimated that if the state sells 5 percent of its shares in Lesto, Lietuvos Energijos Gamyba, Lietuvos Dujos and Litgrid, the state budget next year would receive additional LTL 620 million (EUR 180 million).

The Liberals say that even if this part of shares is sold, the state would still have more than 90 percent of shares in the mentioned companies.

The parliamentary group of the Liberals’ Movement said it would not approve the draft state budget for 2015 if this and others proposals by the Liberals are not adopted.
