Lithuania allocates EUR 12,000 for flood-hit Georgia

The aid is aimed at helping Georgian families that need assistance the most and liquidating the consequences of the floods. The money will be transferred to the Georgian Ministry of Finance.

On June 13-14, heavy showers caused mudslides and flooding of the Vere and Mtkvari (Kura) rivers, ravaging the capital Tbilisi and surrounding areas and leading to the death of 19 people. Three people are still missing, and 358 local residents were badly affected.
