Lithuania condemns kidnap, murder of Israeli teenagers, calls for de-escalation

“The Lithuanian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the abduction and murder of Israeli teenagers: Naftali Fraenkel, Gilad Shaar and Eyal Yifrach. We extend our most sincere condolences to their families, friends and all Israelis, the ministry said in a statement. “We call on Israeli and Palestinian authorities to continue to cooperate and to conduct an independent investigation into this crime. We invite both parties to refrain from taking any action that may further escalate tension in the region.”

Israel has accused the Palestinian movement Hamas, recently included into the Palestinian government, for the killings.
