Lithuania expects to open OECD accession talks this year

“(OECD membership) will not only boost Lithuania’s international standing, but will also bring substantial benefits to our economy and people. Lithuania will become more attractive for foreign investors, improve its credit ratings and borrowing costs,” President Dalia Grybauskaitė said in a press release after meeting with Angel Gurria, secretary-general of the organization, in Davos.

Grybauskaitė is attending the World Economic Forum in the Swiss ski resort.
