Lithuanian Defence Minister Juozas Olekas is leaving on Tuesday for Washington where he will meet with defence and foreign ministers of the Global Coalition to Counter-ISIL later this week, the Ministry of National Defence said.
The ministers will discuss progress made in the military campaign, further operations and political efforts to tackle the conflict, it said.
Lithuania will contribute to the anti-ISIS efforts by sending its military instructors to Iraq later this year or in early 2017, according to Olekas.
