Lithuania starts work at UNESCO Executive Board

Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius says that during its tenure between 2016 and 2019, Lithuania is planning actively raise the issue of human rights in Russian-annexed Crimea, LRT reports.

Lithuania will back an initiative to set up a mechanism for monitoring the situation in Crimea, the foreign minister says. Safety of reporters in crisis zones will be another focus, he adds.
