Lithuania’s Ambassador to Moscow Remigijus Motuzas won’t be able to attend the inauguration since he’ll be accompanying Foreign Minister Linas Linkevičius during his visit to Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BNS Lithuania.
It said the invitation was received on Friday and decisions have not been made yet on sending another diplomat to Moscow.
“Since the invitation was only received late in the evening, a decision on the issue has not been made yet,” the ministry said.
Putin was reelected for a fourth presidential term in March and will be sworn in later in the day.
