Lithuania to speed up issuance of visas, residence permits to foreign business people

“This is about people who are engaged and intend to continue to engage in business activities and come to invest in Lithuania,” Kristina Petrošienė, a spokeswoman for the Centre of Registers, told BNS on Monday.

“The Migration Department will be able to quickly and easily check whether there are grounds for issuing a permit and, if data change, whether there are grounds for revoking a permit and a national visa,” she said.

The agreement, which was signed last Friday, will give the Migration Department direct access to information from the the state registry.
