The Lithuanian company Vertex, which offers SMS marketing solutions, has secured a contract from the American money transfer giant Western Union.
Vertex will be conducting marketing for the American company via text messages starting this June.
“We will be sending texts to WU clients in over twenty countries,” Vertex director Ernestas Petkevičius tells vz.lt.
He says Vertex will be managing Western Union’s client loyalty programme, communicating special offers to the company’s clients who will be able to claim the offered privileges by responding to the texts using the so-called reply2redeem service.
Vertex has been working with Western Union since 2012.
The company is offering marketing services via its VertexSMS platform.
