Taking place on Wednesday through Friday, the summit will cover three main themes of culture in a networked world, culture and investment and culture and wellbeing, the Ministry of Culture said.

“Events of such a level are a great opportunity to get acquainted with global cultural policy affairs, introduce our good practice and issues being resolved in a wider context, and also receive new impulses for further activity. The Edinburgh summit is a great opportunity for meetings of such a level,” the minister said.

While in Scotland, Ruokytė-Jonsson is also scheduled meet with Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Culture, Tourism and External Affairs Fiona Jane Hyslop, Iain Munro, acting chief executive of Creative Scotland, the development body for the arts and creative industries in Scotland, as well as representatives of other cultural institutions in Scotland.

The Lithuanian culture minister will also meet with Edinburg Mayor Frank Ross.
