Lithuanian exchange student suffered ‘minor injuries’ in Spain bus crash

“According to revised data available to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a female Lithuanian citizen was injured during yesterday’s bus accident in Spain. The embassy is in contact with the injured student, her injuries are minor,” the foreign minister’s spokesman Kęstutis Vaškelevičius said on Monday.

Lithuanian diplomats in Spain are in contact with the student’s family, he added.

Some 13 people were killed and about 44 were injured during an accident in north-west Spain on Sunday involving a bus with 57 people aboard. Most of the passengers were foreign students from 16 countries attending the Barcelona University under the Erasmus exchange program.
