All the necessary procedures have been completed in order to start Lithuanian dairy exports to China. Lithuanian products are expected to start shipping to the South-East Asian country shortly. Negotiations on trade in beef are also gaining momentum.
Agriculture Minister Virginija Baltraitienė has met with Chinese Ambassador to Lithuania Wei Ruixing with whom she discussed the exports of dairy, beef and wheat products.
“I have met with the agriculture minister more times than with any other minister. And here at the ministry I feel at home. I am glad that our cooperation is moving forward and we can see positive results. The Chinese government is fully prepared to develop close relations with Lithuania in the agricultural sector,” said Wei Ruixing.
