The meeting, which took place in Lithuania’s Consulate General in New York, discussed a number of international issues, including efficiency of the UN activities, the fight against anti-Semitism and other forms of hatred, Iran‘s policy, the Middle East peace process and important issues concerning the protection and preservation of Jewish cultural heritage in Lithuania.
The foreign minister said that the people of Lithuania showed more interest in the rich Jewish heritage of Lithuania, were aware of the need to take care of it and took pride in Litvaks‘ significant contribution to world culture.
