Accoring to Minister Linkevičius, Lithuania values strategic partnership with France and good bilateral relations. “Lithuania is grateful to France for enhanced cooperation in security and defence, as well as for its active participation in NATO’s air policing mission in the Baltic States,” said the minister.
The head of the Lithuanian diplomacy expressed his appreciation for French efforts to find diplomatic solution of the crisis in Ukraine. However, he noted that the situation remained tense, thus it is important to provide all the available assistance to Ukraine.
France is an important economic partner for Lithuania and ranks eight among trading partners in EU.
