The Lithuanian government is calling for applications from home owners who want to make their houses energy-efficient.
The funding will be available to owners of one or two-household residences. They will be able to use the money to cut their energy consumption by at least one fifth.
The biggest possible sum per application is €14,500, which can be used to cover up to one third of the renovation expense.
In all, the government will distribute over €1 million.
The Environment Protection Investment Fund will also give €1.5 million to people willing to make use of renewable energy in their homes. The funding is open to projects for solar, wind or geothermal energy.
Last year, the corresponding funds were distributed within ten days of opening the call for applications.
