According to the Center of Registers, VSD in April transferred the building in Antaviliai, a village close to Vilnius, to the centralized public property manager Turto Bankas ahead of its planned sale.
However, Aurelija Katkuvienė, the department’s spokeswoman, says that the premises continue to be used by intelligence agency for training purposes.
“We plan to move out of it, but we are still using the building for our training center. We don’t have a specific date for moving yet,” she told BNS.
VSD also continues to use its former central office building in Vilnius. Darius Jauniškis, the department’s director, has said earlier that the agency expects to fully move into its new building complex in the capital by 2020.
