The airline, Wizz Air, said on Tuesday it would send a plane to pick up the Lithuanians on Thursday.

The Lithuanian tourists had contacted the Lithuanian embassy in Georgia to help communicate with the airline which they said had initially suggested they waited for its scheduled flight next Monday.

After being offered airfare refunds, some passengers decided to go to Tbilisi, the Georgian capital, to catch a flight to Lithuania from there.

The Wizz Air flight from Vilnius to Kutaisi was forced to land in Tbilisi on Monday due to bad weather conditions.
