Lithuanian truck drivers are organizing a rally on Monday to protest new measures introduced in France which they say will undermine competition.
The French government has passed legislation, which comes into force this July, demanding that foreign cargo and passenger transportation companies sending their employees to the country must pay them wages equal to those in France.
Lithuanian companies argue that the measure will undermine their ability to compete on prices.
Some European Union member states have also approached the European Commission, asking to investigate whether the new rules in France do not violate EU treaties.
Protest rallies are also planned in France, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Portugal and Spain.
