Lithuanian workers have fourth longest holidays in world

Lithuanian workers are offered on average 28 days paid holidays and can take advantage of 11 public holidays in a year. Brazil, Finland and France had the highest statutory holiday entitlement for workers in the world with the number of paid holidays offered to workers reaching 30, according to Statista, a UK statistical analysis website.

Russia was in fifth position globally offering 28 paid holidays and 12 public holidays, followed by the UK with 28 paid holidays and 8 public holidays. They were followed by Lithuania’s neighbour Poland with 26 paid holidays and 10 public holidays.

Fellow Baltic state Latvia offers only 20 paid holiday days a year to workers and has 13 public holidays.

The United States has statutory holiday entitlements of only 15 days to workers, less than half that of Lithuania, with 13 public holidays.
