“The National Cyber Security Center will be a separate budgetary institution, a window open for all,” Kerza, an official in charge of cyber security at the ministry, told journalists on Monday.

“All inquiries will go to a single email, a single telephone number to receive assistance round the clock,” he added.

In the vice-minister’s words, state-run company Infrastruktura will be integrated in the defense system, and the ministry is about to take over the electronic security function from the Interior Ministry.

Staff of the Communications Regulatory Authority working with cyber security will also be moved to the defense system.

Kerza also announced that the National Cyber Security Center would protect a closed data transfer network under development. It is being developed to ensure that all key state institutions receive communications services from a single supplier.

“Combining our capacities and capabilities would benefit our country and our citizens even more,” said Kerza.
