Lithuania’s politicians united on Rail Baltica project – Bulc in Vilnius

“I had an impression, that regardless of political leadership, Rail Baltica will always have full support in Lithuania. That is for me a very strong message and we will continue to build on that, especially when we still have a few outstanding elements that we have to resolve – this kind of message from the s peaker of the parliament, from the parliamentarians themselves, from the prime minister – all of them sent a very clear message that this is the priority, that they will work constructively,” Bulc told a news conference on Tuesday.

She spoke after meeting with Lithuania’s Prime Minister Viktoras Pranckietis, Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis and other politicians.

The Rail Baltica project with preliminary value of 5.8 billion euros envisages construction of a direct railway connection between the Baltic states and the European railway network. The project should be completed by 2026.
