Lithuania’s Pranckietis to attend CEE parliamentary speakers’ meeting in Warsaw

The meeting is expected to address energy and transport policy issues, energy security and the infrastructure projects Via Baltica, Rail Baltica, Via Carpatia and LitPol Link, the Lithuanian parliament’s public relations office said.

The parliamentary speakers will discuss increasing the role of parliamentary diplomacy, as well as the Central and Eastern European Parliamentary Assembly, which is a regional cooperation project, and Europe’s migration policy.

As part of his working visit, Pranckietis will on Friday attend a meeting of the National Assembly marking the 550th anniversary of Polish parliamentarism and Poland‘s independence centenary.

The speaker of the Seimas is to return to Lithuania on Friday evening.
