Lithuania’s school year to be extended by another 5 days

The recommendations will be prepared based on schools’ experience in this past school year, which was ten days longer than the previous one.

Schools and municipalities this year were free to decide how to use the extra school days.

The ministry says that most educational institutions had no problems with the additional days, because the current curricula are adapted to a 39-week school year that Lithuania had a decade ago.
