Lithuania‘s unemployment rate falls in May

Lithuania‘s unemployment rate fell to 8% in May on a seasonally adjusted basis, down from 8.2% in April of this year.

Eurozone unemployment rates fell 10.1%, Which fell by 0.1 per cent, down from 11% in the same month last year. This is the lowest of unemployment recorded in the euro area since July, 2011.

Across the EU, the unemployment rate in May was 8.6% down from 8.7% in April and down from 9.6% the same time last year. This is the lowest rate recorded in the EU since March 2009.

Compared with the same period a year ago, the unemployment rate in May this year decreased in 26 of 28 EU states.
