The Riga Conference brings together regional and international experts in foreign policy and defence, academics, journalists, and business representatives, promoting the discussion and assessment of issues affecting the transatlantic community.
The Rīga Conference 2020 will be taking place on the 12th and 13th of November online. This year the agenda addresses NATO relevance on both sides of Atlantic, COVID-19 caused consequences for deterrence, Post-pandemic global order, EU resilience in case of a crisis, as well as infodemic.
The conference offers seven panel discussions on topical foreign and security issues, as well as special addresses from Secretary-General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, and Initiator of Coordination Council of Belarus Svyatlana Tsikhanouskaya. Special side events that will discuss women in security, NATO future, Baltic energy security, and the Quad group impact on peace and security will be offered as the added value of the event.
