“No. This is not true,” Putin’s spokesman Dmitriy Peskov told Russia’s state news agency RIA Novosti on Tuesday.
He spoke in response to a statement by the Lithuanian president about receipt a list of demands from Putin about what Lithuania was ought to do.
“From the very first meeting with mister Putin, I received a list of demands of what Lithuania ought to do: not build a nuclear power plant, necessarily cooperate with them, etc. This was not a proposal to be friends or to cooperate, it was more like you kneel and do what I say or you are the enemy. I could not accept such relations,” Grybauskaitė said in an interview to delfi.lt news portal published on Monday.
The presidents of Lithuania and Russia had met in Moscow in February of 2010.
