Most Lithuanians do not report violations of their rights, survey shows

According to the poll, one in five or even more respondents (18 percent in 2012 and 22 percent in 2010) tended to defend their rights.

Carried out by Vilmorus public opinion and market research centre, the poll showed that Lithuanians think their right to a fair trial is the most violated civil and political right.

As compared to the 2012 survey, the population is getting more aware of violations of all rights specified in the poll, said the Human Rights Monitoring Institute.
