NATO fighter-jets scrambled once from Lithuania over Russian aircraft

According to the press release, NATO fighter-jets intercepted an An-26 transport airplane flying from mainland Russia to the Kaliningrad region on March 28, as the aircraft had the onboard transponder on and a pre-filed flight plan and maintained radio contact with the regional air traffic control center.

The NATO air-policing mission is conducted from Lithuania and Estonia.
