It turns out that none of the Lithuanian MEPs out of 850 colleagues got into the Top-100. And half of Lithuania’s representatives mentioned among the least active MEPs, with Valdemar Tomaševski, leader of the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania – Christian Families Alliance, in the lead.
Experts say that some MEPs just simulate work due to low public interest in the European Parliament.
According to political scientist Ramūnas Vilpišauskas, MEPs have little interest and often vote sticking to their political group’s opinion, without going deeper in to the matter under consideration.
