Within a month, the view of Lithuanians on the situation in the country has improved, as the number of those seeing the situation in Lithuania as improving increased by 5 percentage points. Meanwhile, compared to the results of the poll carried out a year ago (in July 2013), the number of those regarding the situation in Lithuania as worsening declined by 3 percentage points.
The optimistic point of view on the situation in Lithuania was observed in respondents up to 30 years old, male, urban residents, people with higher education, students, specialists, employees and managers, people with the highest monthly income (over LTL 2,500 or EUR 725).
Meanwhile, those most dissatisfied with the current situation in Lithuania were respondents over 50 years old, residents of smaller towns or villages, the unemployed, workers and the retired, respondents in the lowest income group (up to LTL 1,500 or EUR 435), Polish- and Russian-speakers.
Most optimists are supporters of the Liberals Movement and the Homeland Union-Lithuanian Christian Democratic Party (TS-LKD), while the pessimists say they intend to vote for the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania (LLRA), the Order and Justice Party, the Labour Party or the Lithuanian Peasant and Green Union.
