Palanga Airport among the fastest growing in Europe

Passenger numbers in Lithuania’s Palanga Airport have nearly doubled after LOT, Wizz Air and Ryanair launched new flights from the Baltic coast resort.

Airports Council International data on airport passenger statistics from April shows that Palanga airport has become one of the fastest-growing airports across the continent.

In April, 19,400 passengers travelled through Palanga Airport, which is 87.3% more than in the same month a year ago, the airport announces.

Palanga Airport‘s passenger statistics from May are even more impressive as, the number of passengers have grown from 10,700 at the same period last year to 21,200 this year, a 98% increase.

The airline Rusline is launching flights from and to Palanfa on June 19 for the summer season, followed by Belavia and Ukraine International Airlines.
