The Lithuanian head of state has underlined that we continue to foster the genuine, open dialogue between Lithuania and Iceland, maintained for more than two decades, and that our bilateral economic, political and cultural cooperation is further deepened by people-to-people contacts.
According to President Grybauskaitė, in symbolic confirmation of the very special bond that exists between our two nations, one of the most popular central streets in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius has been named in honor of Iceland.
