The largest Lithuanian military engineers‘ exercise this year, which involves more than 700 soldiers, are kicking off in Gaižiūnai polygon in Rukla this week.
According to representatives of the army, the soldiers will learn to prepare passes through minefields, to blow up structures, to move through water obstacles.
The exercises will test the preparedness of the permanent compulsory service soldiers.
The exercise, Engineers‘ Thunder, is held for the third year in a row.
