The virus had been found in two pigs in a private farm in the district of Utena, the State Food and Veterinary Service said in a press release.
The first outbreak was reported on July in a major pig farming complex in north-east of the country.
The second outbreak was found at a distance of 18 kilometers from the first source.
The Ministry of Agriculture says the pigs in Utena were treated with antibiotics, but later they died. After testing the samples of the dead pigs, African swine fever was detected.
At present, veterinary specialists are counting livestock and taking samples for laboratory tests within the radius of three and ten kilometres. Having received the results of the tests, farmers will be recommended to slaughter their pigs.
