Three out of four pensioners in Lithuania have occasional or regular work to supplement the small retirement pensions they receive.
Currently, the average retirement pension is less than half the average wage in Lithuania (around €500).
The respondents said that earnings usually reach up to more than half of their pension.
While the department of statistics said that more than one tenth of employed people said that their household’s financial situation had recently improved at least a little, only 2% of pensioners had the same opinion.
