According to the website, the Turkish building company offered to reconstruct the stadium and the entire sports complex for 34.95 million euros within 20 months.
Two days after the Turkish company was named the winning bidder, however, the Kaunas Regional Court stopped the local authority of Lithuania’s second-biggest city from signing the contract.
The court suspended the public procurement process at the request of LitCon, whose bid for the contract, submitted jointly with Dzūkijos Statyba, was rejected.
