The drugs were busted during a special police operation aboard a Volvo S80, which was customized to conceal the drugs. The drugs were en route from Lithuania to Latvia.
According to data available to the police, the drugs were intended for the Russian market. A person suspected of orchestrating the scheme was detained a few days later, the police said on Monday.
Both suspects are under arrest and have criminal records.
The investigation is conducted by the Organized Crime and Corruption officers of the Vilnius County Prosecutor’s Office. If found guilty, the suspects would face between 10 and 15 years in prison.
