Ferrovial Group, which manages London’s Heathrow airport, Vinci Group which operates 33 airports around the world, Avialliance and Egis Group have all expressed a serious interest in the concession, he said.

“Our group is constantly looking for opportunities around the world, and we take very seriously the opportunity to participate in Lithuanian airports concession tender. It will allow to use our experience to create a common development strategy to increase the number of routes, the country’s accessibility and improve airport infrastructure,” Vinci Group president Nicolas Notebaert told 15min.t.

He said the company was interested in Lithuania and development in the region.

“We are already working in Poland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Russia, and Lithuania and the region is really interesting for us. Our activity is not only in airport concessions – it’s construction, road engineering, and energy,” he said.

“We want to come, not only as an operator, but also as a long-term investor and partner. Countries where we work very clearly feel the benefits of such cooperation. At the moment we are among the world’s top five airport operators,” Notebaert said.
