“They wanted and they left. On mutual agreement. (…). According to the statute, old deputies resign after arrival of a new chief,” Mikulskis, who was appointed to the position just over a month ago, told BNS.
FNTT did not announce resignation of the two deputies to the director.
Mikulskis could offer Rameikis and Giržadas to stay, however, said he wanted to form a team of his own. He refused naming candidates for his deputies for now.
“When there is a decree, you will find out. I am used to working alone, I have experience with this. The staff is great, work is making progress. Believe me, there are people eager to work,” said Mikulskis who has been heading the governmental agency since Sept. 13.
FNTT was set up in 2002 after restructuring of the Tax Police Department.
