Markauskas was commenting on President Dalia Grybauskaitė‘s statement that he has lost “the political and moral right” to stay as agriculture minister after criticism over his family’s farming practices.
“Obviously, this isn’t a pleasant situation and, of course, the president’s opinion is very important, but I’m a politician and a team person. I need to meet both with the prime minister and with the (Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union) group before making up my mind,” he told BNS.
