Annual inflation in Lithuania in January rose to 0.7%

Annual inflation in the euro zone also rose, from 0.2% to 0.3% between December and January. Last year, there was annual deflation in January was 0.6%.

However, deflation was recorded in 10 EU member states in January of this year. The highest annual deflation was recorded in Poland (-1.7%), Romania (-1.5%) and Cyprus (-1.1%).

The highest annual inflation rate was recorded in Belgium (1.8%), Austria (1.4%) and Sweden (1.3%).

Compared to December, 2015, annual inflation fell in 12 EU member states, remained stable in two and rose in 14 states.
