The migrants were resettled from refugee camps in Greece.

The group consists of a family of four (a father who used to own a clothing store, a mother who has a university degree and two sons who are university students), as well as five young men, including three with university degrees. Three of the men speak English.

By now, Lithuania has received 111 refugees and still has about a year to meet its commitment to the EU to accept about 1,000 refugees.

Interior Minister Tomas Žilinskas has said Lithuania would not meet the objective, if its infrastructure capacities and integration schemes remain unchanged.
