The Seimas on Thursday passed a respective bill in a vote of 80 to six with 17 abstentions.
The parliament did not back a proposed by several opposition politicians to increase the based amount by almost 12 euros, which would have cost the budget an additional 80 million euros or more.
The last time the base amount was changed was in 2009 when it was cut from 142 to 130.5 euros after the onset of the economic crisis.
