The company has applied to Kaunas authorities seeking an exemption from parking fees for its vehicles and the company also plans to offer a bike-sharing service.
“CityBee applied to the Kaunas City Municipality Administration, offering car sharing and bicycle rental services in Kaunas. In the first stage, the company intends to provide 50 cars, and gradually raise the number to 100. The company is offering Kaunas city to bike-sharing service,” says the municipal council in the draft decision.
The company plans to set up 36 car pick-up points around Kaunas. CityBee would also provide Kaunas with 150-200 bicycles.
The service could start operating Kaunas as early as May, if it receives approval from the authorities.
