Conservatives, Farmers heading poll

According to the survey carried out on August 21-28, 16.3 percent of respondents said they would vote for the conservatives in parliamentary elections, while another 15.9 percent said they would cast their ballot for LFGU.

Since the earlier month, the two parties saw a minor change to their ratings below the 3.1 percent margin error. In July, the conservatives had support of 16.6 percent of those polled, while LFGU had votes of 17 percent.

The ruling Social Democrats remained in the third position of the rating, with support from 11.3 percent of respondents, while the opposition Liberal Movement was supported by 6.8 percent (7 pct in July) and the opposition Order and Justice party secured support of 5 percent (5.3 pct in July).

According to the survey, other parties would fail to cross the 5-percent threshold, with the Electoral Action of Poles in Lithuania being the closest, with support from 4.7 percent of respondents.
