On Monday, he will travel to the western port of Klaipeda to meet with the city’s Mayor Vytautas Grubliauskas and the mayors of western Lithuanian cities and will speak about the Healthy Cities initiative, fighting food waste, teaching healthy eating at school and other important issues, the European Commission Representation in Lithuania said.
The Lithuanian-delegated commissioner will also visit the port of Klaipėda to learn about its activities, ongoing EU projects, the ports’ expansion plans, and will also visit a Mars Lithuania plant.
At Klaipėda University, Andriukaitis will attend a meeting-discussion with members of the public on the EU, its health policy and other current affairs.
On Tuesday, the EU commissioner will attend the 21st European Congress of Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine in Vilnius.
