EU leaders will discuss the situation in Ukraine and the outcome of talks in Minsk which will be presented by German and French heads of state and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
At the meeting, views will be exchanged on how to ensure economic security and stability of EU member states, in particular in the south of the continent, as well as improve the EU’s economic and monetary policies in order to prevent the recurrence of economic crises in Europe.
With Europe facing real threats of terrorism, EU heads of state or government will discuss counter-terrorism measures and ways to modernise EU’s external border controls, protect European information and cyber space against hostile attacks, instigation of war and hatred, and ensure closer cooperation of law enforcement authorities.
